Today was good.
And the weather was good too!
We went to the station at Haverthwaite for a 20 minute steam train ride. There was a Chinese tour party who we were fascinated by - taking photos of everything!
The Chinese also went on the boat when we got to Bowness. I think they went to the Beatrix Potter museum but we were much more sensible and went to a cafe for cake and drinks.
After watching the ducks (and taking a phone call from my GP about hypertension) we got on the boat back to the station and then the train back to the car.
By now the sun was hot and the wind had died down.
We had a nice tea all together in our lodge, and eventually had an early night.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day out.
