Meanderings around Europe by train – and other stuff

Lazy day 2 in Binz

Yesterday evening we eat in a burger place, it was just fine - not too much and not too expensive. The desserts were a bit odd though - almost all frozen yoghurt based. We ordered an ice cream cookie each, but something got lost in translation as we got one to share (which was OK).

Today was planned to be a lazy day and the weather helped with that decision. We stayed in the hotel room reading, dozing and watching the rain outside until after lunchtime. Once there was a break in the sky we pottered off to the lake and had a bit of a walk along the path, and an even longer sit down to listen to the birds.

We went to Lidl for groceries (mostly chocolate I think) and found a seat opposite the coach station where we could watch the traffic in the very hot sun!

Suddenly, the sky went black and it was clearly time to march back. The extremely strong wind meant that we avoided a soaking.

We had our dinner of Lidl cobs, sliced meat and cheese followed by strawberries and decided on a sunset walk along the beach.

These two photos are this evening - one shows just our shadows on the sand and the other shows the beach with the Strandkorb beach chairs to the landward side.

It was a lazy day, but it was a good day!
