We are slowly being able to do the mammoth 6 week long #Interrail trip that we planned and booked just as Covid hit the world. Unravelling that was more problematic than planning and booking it all! There was only one hotel who refused to refund us - but we got that back from our travel insurer. Family circumstances have changed a lot since 2020 and we can no longer commit to 6 weeks away from the UK - so we are trying to do the trip in parts. In 2024 we flew to Budapest (Excellent service with Disabled Special Assistance from British Airways) and made our way back home via Lake Balaton and Vienna. It was also a chance to try the OBB NightJet service to Amsterdam (tl:dr I didn't enjoy it). Although we got drenched in Keszthely by Lake Balaton, and get rather wet in Vienna - we had a splendid time.!
